Peter DiCesare is a Dallas-based singer, actor, cabaret artist, and arts professional whose work centers on storytelling through song. With a background in musical theatre and live performance, he has built a body of work that moves between staged productions, concert settings, and intimate cabaret, always with a focus on emotional truth, musical clarity, and connection with an audience.
Peter has appeared in numerous productions with Uptown Players, one of North Texas’s leading theater companies, with credits including The View Upstairs, Sweeney Todd, Pageant, Hello Again, The Last Session, The Producers, Broadway Our Way, and Imagine in collaboration with Bruce Wood Dance. His broader performance work includes appearances in Night of Stars at the Rose Room and a range of regional and concert work that reflects both theatrical range and a strong sense of personal artistry.
At the center of Peter’s creative identity is his work as a cabaret performer and creator. His solo show, That’s What She Said: A Love Letter, explores the lasting influence of the women who raised him, loved him, taught him, and shaped him as both a person and an artist. Built around songs originally written for women and female-presenting characters, the piece reflects his interest in reinterpreting familiar material through a personal lens. The result is a performance style rooted in intimacy, honesty, and reverence for story.
Alongside his work on stage, Peter brings a deep respect for craft, collaboration, and audience experience. He approaches performance with both theatrical discipline and cabaret openness, shaped by training in musical theatre and years of live performance experience. Whether performing in a fully staged production, a concert event, or a solo evening of song, he is drawn to material that is heartfelt, intelligent, and grounded in human experience.
Peter’s work reflects a commitment to artistry that is expressive, thoughtful, and accessible. He is especially interested in performance that bridges entertainment and meaning, creating space for humor, vulnerability, beauty, and reflection in the same evening.
